What are you struggling with right now when it comes to shaving? I'm planning on a new series of videos in the coming months addressing specific concerns.

Well Mark, after doing this for 50+ years I don't have any concerns/problems, other than not having enough money to buy the things I want. Notice I said want, not need. I don't need anything.

Good to see you here. Merry Christmas to you and your lovely wife down in College Station.

I was thinking along the same lines as Johnny, my problem is justifying new purchases...

My hair doesn't grow fast enough for me to shave everyday. I only shave every other day. It kind of sucks when I enjoy it so much...

That and the winter dryness. A video on what to change about your shaving routine during the dryer months of winter might be a good idea.

Mark, I would have to agree with Johnny and say not having enough money to try all of the things I want even though I am already a glutton with what I have! Biggrin

I can't shave with a shirt on. A lesson on keeping clothing dry whilst shaving would help me.

Straights is always an area were information is sought especially by those just starting out. A beginners guide to straights: selecting (a straight), stropping and shaving.

Every shaver seems to have a problem spot. Mine is the right side of my neck level with my adams apple. Perhaps some techniques to achieve a close and comfortable shave: face mapping, slack skin vs stretched etc.

Below the jaw line - especially below the chin. Current remedy blade buffing.

Moustache - no matter how many passes not nearly as close as the rest of my shave.

mantic!! I was just thinking the other day, "I wish he would cover this problem."

It's my neck. The hair on my neck is very oriented in growth -- left to right. Under my chin and jawline, it's straight across, transverse to the up/down direction of growth on the front of my face. I also have a prominent, pronounced jawline -- I can't easily "bullfrog" and make it go away. When I do, it's so loose because it's just skin (not much fat under there to make a good flat surface by bullfrogging).

So I try different things and get almost there. But I essentially need a technique to work right to left around my neck, while it is stretched taught with my chin up. Or at least different things to try in the neck area so that a combination of things might work.

By the way, I'm getting pretty good shaves -- the neck is just what keeps it from being perfect. And when I overcompensate by working on it a lot, I get irritation. I'd like it to be 3 passes and done and smooth.

(I am considering a slant head to try and get some angles of attack that haven't been done before).

I've added some snapshots from my phone to show the kind of "up under there" neck issues I have. I need to be able to raise my chin and still work right to left to get a good shave.

dry skin and then ingrowns & razor bumps on my lower neck area.

the dry skin is probably an easy issue to resolve, but I tend to forget to moisturize my skin after I shower.

I started using a Feather SS. Much easier to use than I imagined, except,,... I shave against the grain everywhere below my jaw. I've used this razor twice now so I'm still searching for a routine. Because I shave against the grain on my neck I end up holding the razor like a traditional knife but its awkward as hell.

Makes me think I need a knife that doesn't fold.

Jawline, just under the chin. No matter what, always this annoying little prickly mini-spot left. Can't keep going over and it makes me sore there. Have to live with it, but it annoys me. I even thought I...no, I wouldn't to that...

The corners of my mouth have hair right there too, i mean really right there on the very corner. Sometimes I get sore there, even feels like a mini-split, but recovers well in two days. I an lucky enough to have to shave every day though Smile

Side of the neck with sideways hair.

I have mapped, start with the grain, go light, slow and still manage to irritate frequently, especially if shaving everyday.

Thanks!
