Are the C&S Soaps that much better than other soaps that they are worth such a premium price? The refill alone is selling for $38. I have to admit that I have not tried a C&S Soap mostly due to the price.

I think it's worth it. I'm fairly frugal too. I think it's creamier than just about anything I've used yet still has nice slickness and cushion.

It took me forever to pull the trigger on this too Biggrin

C&S is a great soap. It's made by Valobra. Worth the investment IMO.

The stuff is outstanding and I'll take the O&C over the 88 as far as scent goes.

I have a puck of Oxford and Cambridge, use it quite often, not even quarter through it, great soap, I love it!
Is it worth $38? It's up to each individual to decide. It is soap after all, it does its job as hundreds of other soaps, some more expensive and some less. If I enjoy it more than others, it is worth it to me Wink

Well stated, Steve. Value is a relative term, it seems.

I feel myself weakening on this one. Does anyone know the size of the C&S puck? Trying to figure out container options and if it will fit anything I might already have. Nice as the aluminum dish might be, I think I will have to look for something a bit more economical.

A very good soap... There are equally good soaps for less money... On my list Haslinger, Speick stick (grated), PannaCrema...

There are equally good soaps for more money, e.g. MdC...

All YMMV...

I'm not sure of the normal puck size but I use the travel size and the slip into an empty DR Harris shampoo bar container very nicely indeed. But then I travel for a living Wink

The normal size puck fits the black wood bowl that I sell on my site perfectly. The diameter of the soap is roughly the same as MWF so whatever MWF fits in, the C&S will also fit.

Do you find the size of the puck hard to lather from? I travel to the mountains several times a year and it would be nice to pick up the travel C&S container. I'm just nervousness about how useable the soap would be (too small to get a good lather from).

A smaller puck simply requires a smaller brush...

I use it like a stick. Rub the bar on my face then face lather . Carry it in the tin for convenience .
