Was anxious to get this one as I had fond memories of how my M1 head shaved.

Beautiful piece of craftsmanship, as one would expect from ATT.

First shave this morning and I'm liking this one! Not a moderate head at all, maybe a hair more aggressive than the M1 (based on memory), definately more aggressive than my Ikon slant, but still a smooth shaver.

You need to mind your angle with this one as you will feel the blade if your angle is off! Minor knit (for me) as that its a fairly quiet shaver as opposed to my Ikon Slant.

Easy BBS today with a 4 pass shave and no weepers. In short, what I was hoping for - a moderately aggressive razor with an easy BBS without having to worry about the razor biting back, and expert craftmanship.

Quick shave of the day photo:

It's a nice looking razor, I probably won't buy it considering taxes and customs handling fee for us Europeans, who knows maybe in the future on BST. Enjoy your shaves!

Connaught's likely to get them in stock in the new year. (They stock the SB range)

That's an awesome brush, what kind of brush is it and where did you pick it up from?

Brush is from Bruce, "Iron of Life" is his Etsy name. Great guy to deal with - told him which TGN knot I wanted, handle size, etc., excellent communication/photos along the way, and VERY reasonably priced!

I've also only had one shave with the M2 OC this morning, but found it to be smoother than the M1. I do find them to be moderately aggressive, rather than mild. I'm not sure the M2 is less aggressive, but I sure got a more comfortable shave with it compared to the M1. Perhaps I'll have a different opinion after tomorrow morning's shave.

This razor is on my radar screen but I've held off until I have read enough feedback. I have mild razors but not looking for an aggressive one. This might work out to be just what I need...err want. I suppose you can hardly go wrong though with an ATT purchase given their 30 day money back guarantee.

Wanted to follow-up after 4 shaves - I'm enjoying this razor more or more, just the right amount of aggression to easily get to a BBS shave, without any worries of biting back (had one weeper, my own stupidity).

Also don't know what I was thinking when I said the razor was too quiet, feedback/sound on this one is great, similar to my Ikon Slant.

Nice step up in aggressiveness from the Slant without being over-the-top.

David, how would you compare the oc version vs the sb models? I owned the m plate and sold it quickly because I just couldn't get a smooth shave out of it. There were a lot of others that felt the same with the other two heads as well. Does the oc have the same blade gap and exposure/angle?

The gap/design appear similar based on my recollection. I would say the OC shaves a little smoother, but not as smooth as a DE89 or my Ikon Slant.

It's definitely more aggressive, if your angle is off you will feel the blade on your face. I do love how effortlessly I can get a BBS, no buffing required with this one.

Had my first shave tonight with the Atlas H2. Wow! What a nice razor! ATT can forget about the return policy. This thing is staying. The amount of blade gap and exposure look a little scary, but it really isn't bad at all. It WILL take care of business though, and you have to be aware of pressure. It's not any harder to use than the Fatips or Plissons I've been shaving with exclusively for the past few weeks. They've been good training for this one. If I'd picked this thing up while in my Tech phase, I might have needed a transfusion! I wouldn't recommend it for a beginner, but if you have any experience with NEWs or Old Types or Fatips, this one won't give you any problems. Just go easy on the pressure, and a good shave will follow.

Thanks. Phone camera. I was shocked at the detail myself.

Oh, and to the OP - sorry for the thread hijack. I didn't realize I'd done that until I'd already posted. I should have started a new thread.

phone cam? wouldn't have guessed that. as with shaving and most things, one can get hung up with the gear and forget the important of skills.

I got the 3 piece set last week and I really love it. Been using the R1 everyday but the H2 is even better
