Am I the only one who has sent payment but not received their brush? I'm asking because I did not even get any confirmation of my payment.

Thanks.

There are still eighty or so to be dispatched, hopefully this week ...

We are on it but the run on these coincided with our busiest time of year.

I'd rather quality is not compromised in favour of haste.

Everyone who has received Paypal payment confirmation is on the list.

Merry Christmas

Mark

Thanks for the update Mark, I received a catalogue a couple of days ago from yourselves which only added to the torment whilst waiting for the brush!

Do you really need it, Ben? I suspect you have more Simpsons brushes than the catalog will... Tongue

Thanks.

I would check your paypal account to confirm that you did actually send payment. If not, there's still time to click through all of the buttons to order Smile

Finally, received number 117 today.

The brush is more attractive and substantive than I thought it would be. It seems kind of Duke 2-ish.

It is also the first brush I ever had that has a serious funk issue. I've washed it and it is better. I am not concerned. Very glad I ordered it.

No. 89 is funk-less following letting the lather dry on the brush for about eight hours. I rinsed it, used it for a shave, and gave it two ozone treatments. All traces of badger B.O. gone.

Ozone works. It is frequently used to deodorize houses after fires. It works well on pre-smoked pipes, as well.

Mark stated in the main thread he hopes to get them all out this year. Much as we'd love to think of Simpsons as a large company selling billions of brushes (well Ben does buy half of them), Simpsons even as the largest of the quality manufactures around, is still a very small shop. I imagine 1 to 2 people are hand making each of these along with regular orders. The brush is worth the wait, and no one wants a rushed brush.

I use a "wall wart" style ozone generator. I run a tube from its port into a chamber (plastic box) when I want to get the most effect to a small object like a pipe or shaving brush.
