When Phil and Mary Lou sent me the bottle of Iroshizuku Yama-Budo ink, I was over the moon. I immediately filled one of my Esterbrook J-series pens with it and all I can say is that the kudos this ink have received are well deserved and Mary Lou and Phil were so very thoughtful for giving me this gift.

In that Iroshizuku thread, Johnny casually asked what I thought of the ink and I told him that I enjoyed it a lot. Later on, I received a PM from him stating that a package would be arriving on the 16th (today) and, sure enough, when I returned from having my morning coffee there was his package waiting for me.

Because of one or two hints he threw out I was really excited because I thought it might be another bottle of ink. However, when I unpacked the box, I just stared in disbelief at what it contained. I knew Johnny used to have a major interest in fountain pens but presently keeps his usage down to a couple of pens and inks. I just don't know what to say except that everything is appreciated more than he can possibly imagine.

I cannot begin to thank Johnny enough.

Well gee, nice things happen to nice people, now and then. Besides, they were just setting their and not being used anymore.

You are more than welcome Freddy, I know you will use and appreciate them.

I'm just glad the ink did not freeze while setting outside in the 11F weather waiting on the mailman. Biggrin

Set those bottles in a windowsill and enjoy the bright colors. But not for to long, I'm not sure what sunlight does to ink.

Johnny, you know me too well. I've already held up each bottle to the sun. Smile

Chris, I find that, overall, there is amazing warmth and friendliness shown by our members. Also, the knowledge in the various subjects discussed here (shaving, cameras/photography, fountain pens, coffee/tea, etc.) is not only broad but freely shared.

Oh yes, and a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, too. Smile
