Many car manufacturers produce a one-off car from time to time that they call a "concept" model. Something rather special that incorporates new ideas, materials and techniques, but which never goes into mass production.

This particular shaving brush is one of my "concept" models.

A shaving brush in ivory resin and stainless steel, with a superb Extra Silvertip badger hair knot.

Designed to hang on a tall type stand, or sit on its base.

It does look nice. I tend to agree with Tieste that a darker color would look good to contrast with the steel. (I think a burgundy or a dark green would be killer.)

Brush handles that taper toward the back make me nervous about grip, though.

Somehow, I get the feeling that there is a traditional shaver who is also into vintage hot rods who would love this brush. Reminiscent of a beautifully polished set of pistons.

Gorgeous brush!

I think it's beautiful. Maybe it's the GearHead in me but it's one of the nicest brushes I've ever seen.

Thanks for all the positive comments folks.
I really appreciate that. :-)

I made a new stand for it today with a brushed satin finish, and an ivory resin column with beading to match the brush handle. The metal parts of the stand are actually chrome, sanded back with 800 grit wet&dry paper. In an ideal world I would make a special one of stainless steel and more simple parallel fittings which would go better with the brush. Another day. Smile
