Does anyone own one and how does it shave? Any reviews?

I own it. It is an excellent razor for the price. The quality of the head is about the same as Merkurs IMO. However, the SS handle is almost identical to my Weber bulldog handle and makes this razor an outstanding value Biggrin.

As for the shave, for me it performs wonderfully. Like the description on IB implies, I believe it is milder than a 34c but more aggressive than an EJ89. Its very effective and drama-free...you can use it while half-asleep and still come out alright with little to no irritation. Easy to use, very little learning curve and a good all around razor. I don't use it as often as I should, but when I do it certainly gives me very smooth shaves.

If I was just starting out all over again, THIS would be the perfect razor IMO. I own about 20 razors and the SLAB still has a place in my rotation Smile.

The head appears to be a Cadet clone and the handle an iKon.

The great thing about the SLAB is that it makes an excellent handle for the Cadet OC head.

That is a good question I almost ordered a little Bastone but decided to go with the slab as I haven't ventured in to OC land!

I was confused by those pictures up there -- he must mean he's put a Cadet OC head on the Slab handle. The Little Bastone is basically the Razorock Cadet on that handle. Disregard -- I forgot the Slab is not an OC at all. I looked at pictures after that post to get an idea.

Gary, Is the slab handle a good bit heavier and bigger around than the Cadet handle ?

It is much heavier and bigger compared to the Cadet handle I took it from.

That was really why I bought the SLAB in order to match it up with the Cadet OC.

I also have a Parker 98R handle that is even larger than the SLAB.

I like both of them with the Cadet OC.

The SLAB is a great shaver. Moderately aggressive and very efficient. For the price, you are basically getting the head for free when you consider the quality of the stainless bulldog handle.

The "SLAB" shaves amazing its a great hefty razor, great tactile feedback and audible feedback as well not too aggressive for my taste and very well made. the SS handle is balanced perfectly IMHO. I definitely would recommend it to anyone. its found a home with me!
