I was walking through one of the local malls - we got three of them in our little town - and spotted this in one of the shops windows:

Granted, those are razors using carts, but even so.. a couple of years ago you didn't see shaving sets and brushes up front like that, and what selection they had in the back was pitiful at best - so tThis is a definite improvement.

Who knows, in a couple more years they might even star selling DE-razors over here as well Biggrin

yeah - norway is definitively on a nearly non-existant level when it comes to traditional shaving (barber equipment in flesh). but the true hope so far is the shop dapper.no in oslo - the wonderful little place is nothing less than outstanding.

Interesting - their website is all bikes... a bit outside my normal haunts in Oslo, but I might swing by next time I'm up there and have a look.

The other Norwegian source I know about is online only - barbershop.no - which has their office here in Moss but sadly no shop Sad

That equipment looks nice. What are the prices like in Norway for things that are available?

but this is their shop - sort of Smile

they have most things from muhle/simpsons/dr harris/rest of the british brands + an array of quality shave related products. and of course - glorious handmade bikes from holland/germany/england + very high quality bags & clothing. the staff is very knowledgable. good people!

all the prices on shave stuff can be seen here: barbershop.no

That's better than the selection I have from any brick and mortar store gents. So you're way ahead of Maine. The best I can do is the DE blades from hell at the supermarket...Dorcos in plain wrapper to hide their identity. It's no wonder that Maineiacs tend to grow beards in the winter; or maybe it's just the cold.
