Just a brief story, now kind of amusing from the distance of years. Over 30 years ago, at this same time of year, I went on a trip around the country interviewing for medical schools. For most of the trip I was lucky and had no major weather problems, but toward the end a storm forced me to spend the night in the Atlanta airport. There I sat all night on a hard plastic chair, hearing "The Little Drummer Boy" 23 times over the ceiling speakers. 23 times.

I worked in a mall in the 80's. We were given one tape to play of christmas music. We started using it Nov 1. It was 4 hours long. On an 8 hour shift, Paul McCartney's annoy skreeching kids Christmas song. If you opened and closed, 3 times. If the manager who was on liked the song in front of it, easily 6 or 7 times a day. Only managers could touch the muzack. That made upwards of 200 times that season. I would rather hear death metal now. Maybe I haven't given Death Metal a chance....

You guys are very funny. My personal version of hell is the song " Grandma Got Run Over by the Raindeer ." I grit my teeth when that one rolls. The one that gets me laughing all the time is The Barking Dogs version of "Jingle Bells." How can you not laugh at that?
