I have some rust on the inside of the doors of my fatboy, there is also a very slight amount of rust on the comb. Is this a concern? If it is can I remove it? I was actually wondering if I could get it off with soda. Thanks

Scrubbin' Bubbles and a toothbrush may get it off or Dawn detergent soak and a toothbrush.

You can also try metal polish, like MAAS or Mother's. Come to think of it, the Scrubbin' Bubbles will mainly clean off old soap scum and that green gunk on old razors.

The phosphoric acid in Coca-Cola might do it, but I have no idea if it would also attack the other metals. I wouldn't try it unless you can ask a chemist.

Try using a gel toothpaste and a toothbrush, then with a cloth. It really won't start polishing till almost dry. Daily use a\from there on and drying with a towel after a shave will continue to add to the polish of the razor!

As the FB is made of brass it doesn't rust. What you have is some sort of stains, maybe rust that got there from the blades. It shouldn't be a concern.

I +1 Richard, use an old toothbrush and toothpaste and you should get it cleaned and bright again.

Before brushing the FB, don't forget to floss it. Brushing is nothing without flossing. Tongue (I'm just kidding)
