Here is your chance to "honor" the blades you think are the worst you've ever used. Mine are these Balaka carbon steel blades from Bangladesh.

My teacher always told me never judge a book by its cover, but that box is ringing out alarm bells.

For me, Rapida blades are terrible. They scrape my face and hurt like hell.

Notice the "stork" in the upper right corner of the package. The implication is that if you believe storks deliver babies you'll believe Balaka delivers a good shave.

I just can't get along with Dorco's. Horrible little pieces of metal that won't go near my face again

No surprise, The GEM retail blister packed Cartridges are horrible. The last I bought were corroded in the dispenser! And..they were the Stainless ones! I had gotten bad carbon steel before.[Image: H1R7lqz.jpg]
I now buy the bulk PTFE ones from the usual sources.

Agreed. Strange, really. Good razors, but the blades? Incongruence. Rough and unpleasant. Dorco are pretty bad, I think. I am not a great fan of the Super Iridiums either, or Personnas, red or blue. I realise I am the odd one out here. Just don't work on my face. But Merkur? I am with Celestino on this one.

bolzano.

there must be two kinds/generations of these - because the ones i have are terrible and others find them non plus ultra. very strange. i use them only to incise top of dough when baking bread - and they are not even good at that...

i wonder if they are made by same factory that makes merkur/souplex/timor blades?

tried these in the blade test thread from I think last year. I essentially shaved half of my face on the first pass and took it out and threw it away.

I haven't tried A LOT of blades, but I kinda like the Merkur blades.
The BIC, on the other hand, are probably the ones I dislike more.

Merkur, Personna Platinum, Astra SP, Gillette 7 o'clock Platinum. Most platinum coated blades don't agree with my face for some odd reason. It's a shame that I can't use them.

Hands down, nothing else was even close for me... Dorco 300s and 301s. One was slightly worse than the other, but neither will ever see my face again.

One got pulled form the razor after one stroke. The other saw almost 1/2 of my face for one pass and then I asked myself, "Why?", and canned it. The note in the comments section of my evaluation form tells me that I'd rather shave with an axe head just in case I ever forgot how bad they were. Not very likely since they were such standouts for ALL of the wrong reasons.
It's been long enough now that the nightmares have stopped.

Strangely enough these work fairly well for me. Not the sharpest but pretty smooth and effective for me. As always YMMV

lovely panda-box - but the blades will certainly never make it through bamboo.

I'm not a fan of Big Ben, Dorco, or Merkur. Choppy and unpleasant IMHO

The worst blades I've ever used are Topaz Platinum.

I found the Merkur blades to be decent, and usable.
