This week I acquired 4 new brushes; 2 boar, 1 2-band badger, & a synthetic. Each morning & night I feel like a kid on the playground as I use each brush to shave with or test lather. Some will require some break in which is a process I am finding that I enjoy. The hardest part now is choosing which one will get the start each morning. It is a difficult choice, a self-imposed hardship, but quite enjoyable as well.
So I'm curious... How many brushes have you added to your Nook in a short time (we'll say a week or two)? Was the process fun for you or did you find it to be sensory overload? Would you get brushes in bulk like that again?

I have gone through several brushes (maybe a dozen or so) but I generally never have more than 2 or 3 at a time. I find that I have a favorite or two and unless a new brush can knock off the old favorites, it doesn't get used. Then it usually ends being sold rather than sitting around feeling neglected. Same thing happens with razors. Soaps, creams and aftershaves are a different story so I guess it is really just a hardware thing for me.

My most recent acquisition is the Semogue 1305 which arrived yesterday. At this point I hope my SBAD is in remission!
No remission for you until you get a 1438, 1460, and 1470.

I once added a dozen new brushes, when I found a dealer who had a dwindling supply of unused Somerset Simpsons that he was selling off. It was fun adding them to the rotation. I keep a written rotation schedule, attempting to maintain a pattern of Pure-Best-Super, using soaps with the Pures, a mix but mainly soaps with the Bests, and creams with the Supers.
