I own a Tweezerman badger brush and wanted to find a new brush that lathers with ease and is soft on the face. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance Smile

VB 2 Band brush from vintagebladesllc.com. This is a very soft, medium dense 2 band. Great quality brush for a very economic price (around $40 I believe).

Yes, the VB 2-band range of brushes offer excellent performance for the price - under $40.

Semogue 750 Best Badger for $28 shipped. Typo on the header of the lists it as pure but the 750 is best grade. I ordered one from this seller about two weeks ago. Got the brush two days later. It is soft on the face. Though not silvertip soft, it is not far from my Semogue 2 bands. There is enough backbone for hard soaps. It is a nice step up from the Tweezerman and the handle is great on this series. It is black and clear acrylic.

I just picked one of these up for my dad for christmas and was extremely surprised. I've heard how soft they are, but have heard that two band brushes are associated with more scritch than silvertip, though I have to say it felt amazingly soft. The Gel like tips feel amazing (though i only palm lathered and felt it wet), but my dad loves it. The extra backbone the 2band provides will make it a more user friendly brush that other silvertip brushes that are of approximate price range while providing similar soft face feel.

Can't beat a Simpsons in Best Badger. Hopefully $53 new is an OK price point.

Best brushes I have ever used are the Vie-Long Badger/Horse Phil sells at BullGoose...either the J.L Petree or the BeeHive...best handles and perfect mix of softness and firmness....beats any brush at any price and are a true bargain at $35.00 or $50.00...

I have the Beehive version, and I do not believe this is what the OP is looking for. It certainly does not meet the criteria of a "soft badger". For that I will stick with perhaps the best bargain in the brush world which is Simpsons Best.

Whipped Dog ST 30mm set at 53mm is a phenomenal brush and in my opinion almost too good to be true at the $50 price point.

PS, on the VB, as they say right on the website, they are NOT soft when they're dry. When you soak 'em, however, they soften up very nicely. A reall bargain.
