Be careful when you ask Freddy for advise. Smile

I had sent Freddy a PM asking his opinion on different beginner dip pens as I thought I might like to try one. Next thing I know he replies a package is on its way.

What I received was a nice Bandzug Stick Pen set, five sample bottles of different dip pen ink, and a lovely wooden holder to hold the sample bottles. Said he did not want me to make a mess. Smile

So, THANK YOU Freddy.

Enjoy, Johnny. Smile

By the way, the ink vial holder was one of several made by our own Mike Perry. Honestly, that man has magical hands. Thumbsup

Very nice. Johnny, we'll need to see examples of your penmanship. In fact, I think that would be a good feature of the Ink Well for all the pen users.

Trust me John, I have absolutely no penmanship. I lost that several years ago. I just really enjoy writing with pen and ink every once in a while. That's all I used for almost 35 years until I lost the steadiness in my hands.

Awesome Johnny. Dip Pens are a lot of fun. I used them quite a bit in art school. Enjoy it.

Johnny,

freddy kind of did the same thing with me except with talc samples!

-- Infact he sent a hand written note a long with the talc samples, which encouraged me to re-teach myself to write in cursive. After years of typing and just printing I had forgot how.

Joshua, I'm happy to know that the note inspired you like that. Smile
