I've got an A2 Diplomat that looks like it has a modestly bent center bar. Does anyone do repairs on this? Everything else is fine. I was hoping to have it replated and given to my son for his birthday in February.

I'm not the best photographer, and I can't seem to upload the image correctly (it fills the whole screen)-sorry!

I'm sure others will chime in, but my first thought is Razor Emporium. I've had a great experience working with Matt. Shoot him a note, he might be able to help with that center bar, and they definitely do replating. There are other replating options, but I'm not sure if they do repairs as well or strictly replating. My only experience has been with RE.

Good luck in your search!

Chris, I can thoroughly recommend Dave Glynn (in the UK) of restoredrazors.com. Dave does re-plating and repairs. I've had a couple of Cobras and an Aristocrat re-plated by Dave and the results have been fantastic. Dave also repaired a Cobra for me that required the base of the latch to be shaved down so it wasn't so tight.
