So, after recenlty acquiring some DR Harris Marlborough from a kind gentlemen on here I have fell in love with D.R Harris. I had bought and sold off a puck of Arlington as the scent was just not for me, to much floral stuff going on.

However, I'm interested in tring the Windsor. Can anyone describe this scent. There are some scents out there that I can't stand with Tabac being the main one so hopefully this doesn't resemble it. A lot of people told me DR Harris Marlborough would resemble Tabac, but to me it smells nothing like it.

Windsor is fantastic! Burnt orange, an earthy base note of vetiver, something faintly leathery and a bit of spice. It's a very masculine scent.

Windsor has a strong resemblance to Terre by Hermes, as well as Yardley Citrus & Wood. Harvey nailed the aroma well. This is an excellent scent (IMHO).

Windsor has a citrus/leather/pepper/vetiver scent. Undoubtedly my favourite of the Harris scents. Arlington had top spot for me until Windsor came along.

Spot on comparison, Chris.

I'd try a sample first, I'm a huge fan of Marlborough also, and I found Windsor to be a little too "dandy" for my taste...

To my nose there seemed to be a difference in the scent of the Windsor shaving soap vs. that of the aftershave. The aftershave was a little more flowery and sweet, with perhaps more of a citrus note than the soap.

On a regular basis there are two scents I get a lot of compliments on. Acqua Di Gio by Armani and D.R. Harris "Windsor"

If I had to quantify the scent into a single description I'd have to say the Windsor has a "classy woodsmen" scent.

I've had people tell me they smell cedar after it dries down. It seems to have a strong citrus component when first used. It's definitely woodsy IMHO. I like it as well as Marlborough….

Windsor is a very unique scent, I had the hard soap and to be honest I didn't really like it. It is a unique sharp floral and woodsy fragrance, very conservative and English. I have the Arlington cream and find this much nicer.

I REALLY need to try Windsor....the scent sounds right up my alley Biggrin.

My only concern is that my skin will get irritated from it, like it does from Arlington. It's too bad about Arlington, as I love the scent on that one as well Sad. Decisions, decisions...

Does Windsor have a light scent or is it strongly scented? I love soaps like RazoRock ABCBA that smell just as strong when lathered.

Windsor is my favorite Harris scent. It reminds me a bit of Blenheim Bouquet, but with more of a citrus note than a piney one.

Most of the DR Harris range is lightly scented. I have Windsor and Arlington. Arlington is more citrus and floral while Windsor is more leather spicy as described earlier. I think the scent gets a little stronger when lathered.

If you enjoy cream it is available in Windsor. A very competent performer.

Another soap to add to ye ol' shopping cart. I am working towards free shipping. The perfect justification for all the extra pucks. Angel
