For whatever reason, the gang at UFO is not able to make and sell me one of their handles. Does anyone know of other artisans that may indulge in the stainless steel DE handle business?

He has a link at the bottom, although it is Facebook, so if you're one of those that avoids social media, I suppose you can message him here on TSN.

I don't know your preference. Mine is for deep knurling, real "grip."

I find Weber and Ikon handles provide that for me.

Just got a stunning solid brass bulldog, lathe turned and stout!
A fellow member of Shave Nook makes them — if you're interested PM Triad here at SN, and tell him what you have in mind. The solid brass one you see here weighs a massive 110 grams. 16mm x 80mm.
I feel that the excellence of this handle makes it heirloom quality.
Very, very pleased.

Not sure if they qualify as "artisan," but have you looked at the Maggard razors? Buy the razor; set aside the head; and you have -- ta dah! -- a stainless handle.

I've been using ATT Colossus handles on 3 razors including one I modified for a King Cobra,I purchased what I think is a very close match very well made SS heavy knurl handle from Amazon by the name of Appolo. They can be had for $24.95 @ Amazon. At 3.81" long,.05" diam.& weighing in at 3.5 ounces they are a bargain. They come in a very nice box with foam fit cutout.[Image: URxGMRN.jpg]
