I was very pleased to discover that an old Penhaligon's Lords shaving cream glass jar, with the silver-plated lid, is just the right size for a puck of their Lords shaving soap. I just had to shave off a tiny amount of the soap from its edge to make it fit. I have several other jars unused, so eventually, when I've used up their cream, I'll soak the Lords labels off and use them too for my other vintage Penhaligon's shaving soaps.

Looks like a great match. Did you shave with it yet?

No, I'll probably use it sometime next week, then put it away while I attempt again to use up some of my creams.

If anyone else is interested in using one of the glass jars this way, ShopLondons.com still sells the Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet shaving cream in the glass jar with the silver plated lid.
