Ok , I've decided to purchase a Moss Scuttle and matching bowl by Sara Bonnyman.

I think I'm set on the large Moss (originally I was considering the Texan) and wished for some guidance with the bowl.

The Ayars Lather Bowl is available separately or with a Moss Scuttle.

It's size is listed as 5" x 1 3/4".

However, Sara also lists a Moss Scuttle and V Shaped Bowl Combo.

Does anyone have the V Shaped Bowl, as I'm keen to learn more about it.

This shape more closely resembles the stainless steel Aesop bowl that has almost converted me to bowl lathering exclusively.

There is a Shave Bowl listed as 4″ w x 3″ D, I'm guessing this is the dimensions for the V Shaped Bowl, can anyone confirm?

Wow, Ben! Bowl-lathering, exclusively! I would have never thought it!

Best of luck choosing one of those beautiful scuttles! Biggrin

I've a small Moss scuttle, which I've been using for +6 years. I face lather exclusively so I use the scuttle for parking my brush and keeping the lather warm between passes. Here's a thought: perhaps we could have the eponymous Dr Chris Moss ask Sara to offer the scuttle in badger colours...Bernard is all for it and volunteers to act as the colour model.Biggrin

Well, I'm still leaning towards the Moss Scuttle and V Shaped Bowl Combo.

Anyone have any feedback on these before I go ahead and make a purchasing decision... ?

I decided on the large scuttle and v shaped bowl.

Thanks to Johnny's assistance, I received word back from Sara and she advised me that to send a scuttle only to Australia, postage would be $75 plus $8 insurance/handling, not including the bowl. Sara didn't now how much extra to include the bowl, but I estimate that the total cost of the scuttle and bowl with shipping will be well over $200. So postage, as I feared, will prevent my acquisition.

Yikes. That's a significant added cost, Ben.
