My flock is missing the hand forged TIPTLE (Thiers Issard - Pierre Thiers - Limited Edition), only 450 made and the spine shows the original hand hammering!

Wonderful Emanuel, I didn't know about that one!

It looks to be exactly the same blade as the Oakwing and just different scales.

Do you know how many were made and if they are individually numbered?

They were not individual numbered... they were made for a group buy on the spanish forum. 2 models were bought by the participants, this one and the (individually numbered) Oakwing G (the first one on your original post).

The existent units of the Oakwing G were not enough to meet the demand, so Thiers-Issard proposed that horn-handle model to the participants. Both were sold at a heavily discounted price, directly from Thiers-Issard.

About 150 units (of the 2 models) were sold only on that forum - a gigantic group-buy. I'm not sure how many were made of the horn handled model - but I considered myself lucky to have that one in my possession. Smile

Thank-you for the information Emanuel.

I would love to have one to complete my collection...

Ugh... I had a chance to buy one of these when they made their debut-- couldn't pull the trigger. That decision still haunts me...

Beautiful photos.

Ben

Those are beautiful, I had no interest in using straight razors but looking at these has me thinking about it.

Wow - just wow. Gorgeous gear. As a TI fan, this just really makes me need to go skulk around the sale sites and auctions to find more. Thanks for sharing!

There will not be another Limited edition from Thiers Issard, the former production manager and technical director Mr. David Loft (who put together the oak wing etc for TI) said that they have cancelled all of that type of production since he left.

Not really great news but on a positive note he has since developed some very nice strops and paddle strops, I recently acquired one with all the different leathers and I really really like it.

I don't have any connections with this person but I believe it might be interesting for straight razor users to know about the existence of these materials
