Hi Chaps

Sydney's Rozelle markets last Sunday, I picked up this Australia-made 'Doover' in original box, which I was initially not going to buy. The interior is a bit torn up, but passable. Then the vendor offered it for $5. What's a man to do? The tooling is not the greatest, but I don't think this razor ever saw much use. I'll give it a try some time, but as a piece of Australiana, I think it's pretty cool, really. I know nothing about this company ('Arendsen'). Anyone here seen one of these? I figure it's dated around the mid 40s? I don't know. Ben?

Very nice find! It looks like a NEW.
And the price was right! You took the best attitude on buying it. Smile

Hi Tonsorius, no, there are absolutely no markings on the razor, none anywhere. Here are three pics for you:

Ah, very good...I was right about the 1940s then. I'm surprised I have not seen more of these about. Thanks, Ben!

thanks shaun. it resembles a uk new - although your doover got only 10 teeth + corner teeth on each side and have 3 conventional holes in baseplate. is it relatively light (ca 50 g) and how does it shave?
