For the last two days, when trying to post, I have frequently gotten a "This Page Can't Be Displayed" blank page, then when I try to refresh, I get an error message saying, "Can not upload file - Too large for php post_max_size directive. Please press the back button." At times this happens over and over again, even with just single-sentence posts.

John, I haven't experienced any of these problems.
Could it be that you may need to refresh your 'cookies' or delete your 'history'?
Good luck.

Thanks, Celestino, but I've already done that. I even restored to a previous state of 3 days ago, with no change in the problem. It is not consistent; it comes and goes.

Right, it happens sometimes when I just try to post a reply. In fact, it just now happened when I tried to post this.

the entire screen would be useful, including copying/pasting the URL it shows when you're trying to post and see the error.

I'm not seeing any errors in the logs that match your IP from today...

The URL is http://shavenook.com/newreply.php?tid=18861&processed=1

And when I try to refresh the page, I get this:
