I tried the Aubrey's Organics City Rhythms and thought it was terrible. Horrible lubrication and I had an allergic reaction to the menthol. Bush Pilot though, awesome stuff and I recommend everyone tries it out, especially anyone who likes to camp or needs to travel quite a bit.

Kiss My Face is another cream that can be used brushless with great success, though I do prefer using it with a brush.

Only if I'm in a BIG hurry. I don't like that I often can't see my "tracks" when using them.

I don't enjoy them as there is no fun if you aren't using a brush, especially, for face-lathering! Biggrin

Lather with brush is better.

I tried using the TwinLuxe brush less shave cream. was terrible.

Even if I were to discount the lack of enjoyment from applying it the performance of the cream itself was lacking.

Dr Sheffields by a large margin is the best in my book.

The very idea of "brushless" is heresy to most of the faithful here, I daresay. Yet as much as I love the sensation of brushes and a good lather, I want to try some of the higher-end brushless options out there -- which do not appear to have been discussed here on the Nook.

I went to my local Barney's (expensive retailer) today. I have some credit that's been lying dormant. I asked about their shave offerings, and here's what they have. Two of three are brushless and the other, though billed as for use with brush, is apparently also more of a brushless product.

Malin & Goetz: This has a rep as a face-freezer. I was given a couple of samples, so I'll report back sometime soon.

Kiehl's: Also has menthol and camphor.

Baxter of California: Jar says use with a brush. Allegedly not necessary.

It's notable that L'Oreal owns both Kiehl's and Baxter.

I tried Cremo cream it was ok, it did a good job... but I passed it on to my bro because it felt as enjoyable as spraying the caned goo.Sad

I would shave twice a day if I could, just to add another few brushes in the rotation. Biggrin

You loves ya really high quality pasta with homemade marinara sauce that has simmered on a stove top for four days. But tonight, you worked late at the office, you're home, you're dead tired, but you gotta have something to eat before hitting the sack. Wait, there's a can of Chef Boy Ar Dee on the shelf. It's staring back at you; do you eat it?

Sure you do, and it's good. Is it as good as fresh pasta topped with homemade? Wrong question: they are different products. They both are good, but they are not competitors for each other.

Aubrey Organics Men's Stock Northwoods is a damn good shave cream. Would I use it daily? Of course not. Is it as good as a good shave soap lathered with a good brush? Wrong question.

They're not for me. The alchemy of face lathering is the most enjoyable part of the shave IMO.

I still prefer a brush and a cream/soap with my Fusion razor. But as a head shaver, the combination of a good Preshave oil/cream and one of the Proraso canned foams are actually fine.

I prefer a brush lather, but both Kiss My Face and Avalon Organics shave creams have performed well for me.
