I've seen some of the British #66's on the bay lately but they always seem to go extremely high. Are these good razors? What is a good price for these? I keep hoping to see one at a flea market for $3. You can always dream right?

They are very nice shavers for many folks. You can get just as good a shave from a $3 Tech, though, depending on your technique and prep! Biggrin

You won't find them for less than $100 unless they are not in very good condition! They average price is usually $150 or so.

I really like mine. It's the mildest but the most user friendly of all of the British Aristocrats, in my experience. If you usually douse with R41s and the like, then search for a #15 (OC) or #21 as the #66/variants may be too mild. The #16 is different again.

How is the 16 different?

I have both the #66 and the #16.

The #16 is heavier and slightly more efficient than the #66. But definitely not efficient as the #15.

Well, I found my Aristocrats for ~$10 and they are in excellent condition... but not in ebay! Biggrin Both were found in the wild in antique fairs and flea markets...
