I got a new knot delivered from WSP a couple months back and after being a little nervous to attempt to remove an old knot and epoxy a new one in, I finally tackled it. Jordy helped me find the right epoxy to use and I watched the two videos on youtube explaining how to steam out the old knot and how to glue in the new one and it was all said and done in about 30 minutes. Easy! So here is one picture before use and a couple after a couple hand lathers and one actual use. I absolutely love this knot AND the handle. It's a great combo. Nice big knobby comfortable to hold handle that dwarfs an already big 28mm/51mm knot.

Thats a beautiful brush indeed.

Glad to know that my video about how to steam out an old knot was valuable to you.

Is that knot a Manchurian one or superfine ?

I didn't know it was yours! I wouldn't have even known where to even start without it, so thanks. As far as I know it's "finest"? I have a hard time figuring out and remembering the different levels of softness and the names given to them by all the different companies. Is that the same as superfine?

That is a sweet custom stubby. Do you know who made the handle?

* If I am not mistaken, that is an A&A handle that I bought from a member, here, who lives in Spain. Interesting how things travel around. Biggrin

Shane, that's a sweet-looking knot; it should treat you very well.
When I looked at TGN and WSP knots for my custom brush, I was drawn to the latter almost immediately, but remained undecided about going HMW or SuperFine until just before ordering. If the long-gone Super HMW in 2-band had been available there wouldn't have been any hesitation -- but I don't feel bad about ordering the SuperFine this time around. I thought yours was a 3-band HMW, and I wouldn't hesitate to go with it for my next brush.

I've got two knots from TGN and now this WSP knot and it seems like you can't go wrong with either. I just used this brush again today and I absolutely love this brush. I also have what I'd guess is close to a 30mm 2 band knot from TGN and it's also in my top 2.

Looks great! I've been very attracted to this type of brush lately. I'm getting ready to make a similar looking brush with my buddy Scott of Pav Brush Works using a TGN 26mm F2. Love the ivory chubby handle and the fat finest knot. Very appealing to me.

The handle is thicker and taller than any other handle I've tried, the pics don't do it justice. It's a good bit larger than the handle on my m&f 2xl and the chubby 2 that i had.

And thanks everyone for the compliments. I've got SBAD in the worst way right now.

* Boy, are you in trouble! Wait until you start customizing your handles and then getting knots for them! Biggrin
