Hello all.
After the last increase I said enough. Found this site and based on recommendations got an EJ89L. I have used traditional soap and brush for over 20 years, always tossed out worn brushes. Now I know how to change the knot.
It's been 30 plus years since I used a DE razor, a Gillette my grandfather gave me. Wish I still had it now. Who knew?
With trepidation and styptic at the ready I put blade to flesh. I guess with age comes wisdom. Went slow and no blood. Much better than my last experience with DE's. Wound up with a DFS if I must say. It is a great starter razor.
Topped it off with a splash of Pinaud for a touch of nostalgia.
Thanks again for such an informative site.

Welcome to The Shave Nook and congratulations on your first shave back to using a DE. Best advise I can give is no pressure. Let the razor and blade do the work. You are doing beard reduction, not removal.
