Has anyone tried Speick soap in the tub? I was wondering if it is the same soap as in the stick because I have worn out my grater getting this stuff into puck form. However, I do not want to take the easy route of getting the tub if I end up comprising the quality of the soap.

Thanks for any guidance.

As for as I know the tub Speick is not the same as the stick. I believe the tub is their new sports scent or whatever they call it. I personally do not like it.

I also grate my Speick sticks or use the Speick cream. I like the original Speick.

I haven't tried it, but it's a different scent and completely different formulation without tallow.

The tub is quite a bit softer than the stick.

Wow, I can't believe you lads grate the stick. Out of curiosity, why don't you use the stick on your face?
I have to say, since trying shave sticks, I have not bothered with my pucks and just transfer them to the empty stick containers. Biggrin

I also grate my Speick. I find I just prefer loading my soap via brush, sticks always seem to leave a bit of soap on my face that doesn't get incorporated into the lather and ends up wasted.

Concentrated soap on the face can also be an irritant for sensitive skin. When loading a brush the soap is diluted some.

i happened to get the speick tub in mail yesterday. have not tried it but smells citrus in abundance and have consistency like some dessert: semi-hard with bubbly surface. i'll test & tell next week how i find it.

I can't seem to find this. I used Bing and all I get is Forum Posts. I try to open Speick shop site and my browser can't open it.

Hi Ted. I tried it a few months ago and posted here

It is definitely NOT the same soap in the stick. It is veggie-based, but I still found it excellent. Hope that helps Smile

Celestino, if the Speick soap came in a nicely packaged unit like a DR Harris soapstick I'd have stuck with it. I dislike the cheap stick packaging. In fact, I grated my Valobra stick and transferred it to a nice twist up tube. That cheesy packaging bugs me.

Giorgio, thank you for your input. I'm sticking with the old Speick stick.

Celestino just graciously pif'd me a Speick stick and I used it yesterday for the first time and loved it. I like how convenient and easily you can face lather with a stick but I'm also thinking about grating mine since even after dipping it in water it's rather hard. Really good soap though.

I've got a grated stick of Arko in a really nice stone col conk bowl but I've stopped using it because it's one of my least favorite soaps and I'm actually thinking of just chucking what in the bowl and dedicating it to sticks of Speick but I can't bring myself to throw away the greater part of a whole arko stick. Is that weird? lol!
