Hey gents,
So I know many of us have used and love proraso cream and soap. But has anyone ever tried the stuff in the cans from proraso? I'm just wondering how close it is to making a lather with their tub soap or tube cream. Please chime in if you have. Thanks [Image: 8u9una2e.jpg]

I've used it. It has the same consistency as any canned foam. It definitely has the signature "Proraso" scent.

Generally speaking I prefer the lather from a brush than from foam.

While I have never used this I suggest you do not use canned foam with a DE. Please, I beg you, do not use this with a DE razor. I have and let me tell you BIG MISTAKE.

I've used the white one, before learning of wetshaving, but it was with a multi-blade cartridge. It was pretty much as every other canned foam, very thick but also very drying.

I've got a can of the Proraso red and it's far & away the best canned foam I know of. Smells just like the other reds: tub & tube. I keep it on hand just in case someone visiting asks, "Got any canned shave creme?"
I will probably annoy the Shaving Illuminati, but I would not be averse to using it in a pinch. Put it this way: given a choice between wetshaving with this, or an electric shaver, give me the can of Proraso.

foams are harmful for the skin. better to use creams or soaps. i have got a skin infection from them before. better to stay away.
