Good afternoon!

After getting a taste of the good life (Simpson 2-Band Hair), I've decided to undertake the task of acquiring another LE Simpson two band beauty.

I currently have the Chubby 2 2-Band and it is absolutely wonderful. It's not overly dense, immensely soft tips, impressively good flow, a great size and so on. For my next purchase, I was thinking about going a little smaller ~26mm knot.

What handle do you guys recommend? I have been eyeing the Polo 8/10 - leaning towards the 8 in 2-Band badger. I already have a Duke 3 in best that I enjoy.

I wasn't too sure how I felt about longer handles until I tried a M&F Emillion 2. It's fantastic. The extra length really works well when I face lather. I have a strong suspicion the Polo will do the same.

What other options would you recommend?

Thanks in advance and happy shaving!

The Polo is a really big handle. If you're thinking along those lines, consider an M7, 58 or 59 (if you're doing a custom), or Harvard 4, 5 or 6 (again if you're doing custom). Those have longer handles but not quite the same degree of heft as the Polos. I have a Polo 10 that I find to be too big for regular use.

Can anyone do a direct comparison of the Emillion 2 vs polo 8/10 for me?

Given you have a Chubby 2 and a Duke 3 I would go with something different - both handle and knot: M7 in 2 Band

I do like the M7 but the knot seems a little smaller than I was hoping for.

Two more you might like to consider again both Simpsons:

Custom Keyhole KH4 2band. 22/23mm knot

Beaufort B6 2band. 22/23mm knot

I only mention these as you seem too like your Emillion.

My Emillion is 24mm and it's nearly ideal. I wish it were a lil bigger knot wise.

Thanks for the suggestions guys Wink

The M7 is an extremely comfortable handle and I'm lucky to have them in 2 band and Manchurian. The M7 in 2 band is desert island worthy Biggrin

Agreed! The Tulip has always been a favorite of mine. Especially in a fan shape.

Well after much dispute and thought, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the Simpson 59 2-Band. I wanted a Duke 3 initially but didn't want a repeat of the same handle so I did the next best thing:

The Simpson 59. I love the appearance of it and it looks to be quite ergonomic. The knot seems spot on with the Duke 3 as well.

Thanks again for your input guys!

The 59 seems like a mash-up of the Polo, M7, and Duke 3 Biggrin Doesn't it?

You are going to love the fifty series 59 It is as you say very ergonomic for for me it has the extra weight in the handle and a nice height......
Enjoy

Is anyone else this indecisive about making their next purchase? I changed my mind and went with my gut - the Duke 3. It's a lot of money to invest without knowing how I feel about the handle and what's not to love the Duke series. Plus they're behind in 59 handle production Smile

Excellent choice. I have the 59 in best, and the handle is substantial and solid in hand without feeling overwhelming (like I find the Polo).

I should really stop reading this thread.
Ever since I fell for the 57, the Fifties have been calling my name.
