I've been a fan of the Columbus Blue Jackets since they entered the league. Of course, since they've only made the playoffs once in 12 years, and never yet won a playoff game, it's been many years of frustration for me as a fan.

However, last year and this year so far, they've played a very entertaining type of of hockey - strong on the forecheck and with reasonable pace. They missed the playoffs last year on a tiebreaker. This year, they're in with a shot (but that can change quickly).

So hockey fans, what are the chances that the loveable, bumbling Blue Jackets will:

A) make the playoffs, and
B) win a playoff game for the first time in their existence.

Well, that's what I'm hoping for. Things can change quickly, though....especially with the Olympic break.

So let's make this interesting.

What's your medal prediction for the Olympics?

Mine is:

Bronze: Canada
Silver: Russia
Gold: Sweden

My choices are based on absolutely no evidence. I actually think that Russia will win it if they make it to the final game, but I want Sweden to get the gold. Biggrin
