For all of you shave stick users, I have a question.

If you use a shave stick that does not already come in its own tube, how to you pack/carry it for travel? I happen to use the Speick Stick at home and that is the one I want to make a trip with.

Thanks

I guess if I took that black plastic base off of the stick, I could put it in my spare Simpsons Travel Tube. Emmmmmm.......

The only time I prefer a shave stick is when I'm traveling and I just use one of the twist up shave stick containers that are available at various retailers. I have arko in one and DR Harris Arlington in the other, both soap perform admirably in various water conditions. I have even used boiled lake water for shaving while camping (I boil the water anyways for dishes and just thought it better to use that then our limited drinking water).

I'm currently on a stick of Speick for travel use the holder from a finished stick of La Toja. It's the same concept with a LEA, Boots etc stick holder.

I use La Toja, which is ready to go. But I also have an Arko in a deodorant tube that I saved. I washed it out, then grated up the Arko, then tamped it in there. It works great.

* These are the best I have used, so far! Biggrin
Really, any empty deodorant containers would work as long as they have a push-up lever/wheel.

Just squeeze it inside of an empty La Toja/Bea/Lea/whatever stick package!

Thanks to one and all. Don't know why my wife had one of these, but it's now mine.Biggrin

I grated one of my Speick Sticks and crammed (gently tapped) it into this tube.

I've actually saved an old deodorant stick and I'm going to clean it out and see how it performs.

MWF in a BRUT push up it works wonderful...found my FAT was cracking in my mug then holding water and didn't like that so I milled it mixed in some distilled water and mushed it in the container after washing it out it's a little bulky but it works wonderfully!

When I travel I take Arko stick with me in my dopp kit.

I just put the arko stick in a zip lock bag and toss it in my dopp kit. I've done this a few times now and haven't had any issues.
