My first wetshave was with KMF lime. I liked it because I could get it locally and I liked the scent. As I have experimented with other creams and soaps I've found that while it lathers up well, it's not very slick and doesn't seem to offer me any protection. I've tried wetter lather, drier lather...nothing helped so it sat in my cabinet ignored.

Fast forward to this morning, I had slept in and was really rushing this morning. I was thinking of trying to use my DE with a can of Edge gel to see if it would work in a pinch and there was my KMF. I used it with out a brush, just one pump and rubbed all over my beard. It felt almost as slick as the Arko that I love, plus the lime scent was more pronounced. I used 3 pumps, one for each pass and got a great, close shave. There was also zero cleanup.

I know most of us love the ritual of creating lather and working it into our beards, but keep this in mind. This might become my new weekday shave.

Interesting. I might have to try and find some of this product just to check it out.

I am curious to try it again tomorrow to see if it was a fluke. To think I was about to PIF this bottle because I didn't like the lather. I think if you could get a small squeeze bottle it would be a great thing for travelling.

When I use it without a brush, I lather it up in my wet hands for a few seconds first. Works quite well. Also makes a good preshave wash in the shower.

With a bowl and brush I use two pumps for the full shave, and it works pretty well.

KMF has gone through some packaging changes since I tried it, but at that time it was sold as a brushless cream that you could use a brush with if you wanted to. I didn't think it was too bad, nothing super great, but still not bad. Definitely a plus that I could find it at a local store.

I've noticed the same thing in general. For instance, in between passes, I'll take the lather that got on my ear lobes and gotee, rub it into my face for a pre-lather before taking the brush to my face for the next pass. It's also very slick.

On my last shave for my touch ups, I just ran my wet fingers over the puck of soap and then rubbed it on my neck where I wanted it for touch up. Very slick and worked great.

I have used the tube for travel several times and it does work pretty well. I do try to work it a bit to lather a little bit, but am not sure it makes much difference. I many of their funky scents I just wish I had better luck using it with a brush.

KMF is great and very inexpensive. I have been using it for several years. Extremely easy to lather and all natural.

yeah, like I said earlier, even though it made a good looking lather, it didn't seem to offer me any protection.

I really like KMF. Never tried it brushless (where's the fun in that?Tongue) but it works extremely well with a brush Thumbup

I haven't tried KMF, but I use the Trader Joe's shave cream as a brushless when I am in a hurry, and need to look somewhat presentable.

I have been tempted to pick up a bottle, I guess I will have to give it a try. Can anyone describe the scent of the Bamboo? The bottles at my local market are sealed with plastic over the pump.

Is it still labeled as being brushless? I've had mine awhile and as Andy wrote, that's what's on mine with a brush option.

I find it works great with or w/o a brush.

BTW, Bigelow also is brushless with a brush option. I'd use it brushless in a heartbeat if I was traveling.

3 pumps of KMF per pass! OMG! it's only used as a lubricant w/o a brush. A thin film is all that's required. For a second pass I only need to dampen the residue still on the skin. As with everything else in shaving though, YMMV.

Normally I use it with a brush though.

I like the KMF. I use it always with a brush and find the cushion awesome.

My girlfriend uses no other cream than the KMF for her legs. She uses it brushless and also likes this cream.

Very good value for the price altough I have to order it in the US.

I've went through 2 containers of the Key Lime--love Key Lime pie--and I've only used it with a brush a few times. I have a little Key Lime left and a near full bottle of the Bamboo. The Bamboo has a more earthy scent; which is nice. The Key Lime is great in the summer, but it needs some menthol. lol

KMF seems to work better without a brush--slicker.
Good stuff, imo.

When my wife's can of canned goo ran out a few weeks back she started using my KMF Cool Mint out of necessity, and I've been ordered to procure more. In fact, she used up my Cool Mint, and has started in on my Key Lime as well. I'm using this as an excuse to order 1 of every scent I can find in the 11 oz pump container LOL.

Do you have a Whole Foods near you? They usually have it. I got mine at an organic food coop.
