I realize they are different blades but you guys with Sensitive Skin gimme some help, please. Would you say that the Labs are comparable to the Reds? I found a good deal on the labs, $11.50 shipped. I know I will not know unless I purchase them, but if a consensus is reached that would help my decision-making immensely.

The only way to know is to try them and see which works best for you. If you PM me your address, I will send you a couple of each.

I already have Reds and love them. I am most likely going to buy the Labs. $11.50 isnt bad if I dont like em. So i'll take a chance. Thanks for the offer though.

The Labs are just as smooth but a bit sharper than the Reds, in my experience.

I prefer the Reds.

Labs and Medicals are made for a single use in pre-surgical proceedings, so it isn't a surprise that they were a disappointment to me... Tongue Biggrin

I found labs less smooth and forgiving than the reds. Reds are magical in the smoothness/forgiving category IMO. There's something I can't put my finger on with that blade. They aren't the sharpest but they shave me super close and incredibly comfortably.

Never used labs but I hear the reds are better and I have had nothing but good luck with them, so no need to try the labs for me anyways

I didn't care for the meds, but loved the reds.

Not a whole lot of answers but it's interesting how blades are subjective. BICs seem to get flak but they did a decent job for me and Wilkinson cut me up. It just seems to me the right Cream/Soap is just as important if not slightly more because of the Protective Qualities and Lubrication. But then again technique is as well. I apologize for getting off-topic, I get like that from time to time, in case none of you never noticed.

I enjoy all three Personna blades, Reds, Meds and labs...I actually find the labs and meds work better for me than the reds...Labs/Meds are a bit smoother for me, but all three are extremely close in regards to sharpness. The labs and meds shave the same for me, the only differences I can notice are the printed labels on the actual blades and that the meds are extremely consistent...Labs may have a bit less QC. So IMO the labs are the best value of the three, as long as a few blades that tug can be looked past every so often. That being said I still personally pay the premium for the meds because one of my top pet peeves during a shave is having to switch a bad blade out for a new one once I realize after a 1/4 pass that the shave isn't going well Confused I've yet to find inconsistent Personna med's, although it seems others are now having just that issue!?...Say it isn't so Huh

I prefer the Reds to the Labs/Meds... And also can't beat the price of the Red's.

I bought a pack of 200 blades for only €9 at a brick-and-mortar shop here in Portugal.. I think I'm set for a few weeks! Biggrin

Those Reds. Rolleyes. I compared those to the American ones and my face didn't think they were the same. I am glad for you however as 200 blades for 9 Euros is a steal.

They are not comparable blades IMO, just like a 7 O'clock yellow and a Gillette super blue are different blades.

The reds are amongst the smoothest around, and they are still sharp. I love them and far prefer them to the blues even though I have both.

I personally prefer the Med Preps and Labs over the reds. I can get what I feel is a better shave, and more uses, with Med preps or a Blue Lab than a red. This held true for me using several different razors to compare them.

Have been using a Red for a few days now. First outing with this blade so it's a little early to tell. No experience with the Labs, Meds or Blues yet.

Having said that, it feels a lot smoother than Astra Sp. It doesn't feel as sharp but the results are visibly better than Astra. With the SPs, my shadow starts to emerge by 430 or so. The Reds have bought me an extra hour. Not bad for the price.

Reds work best on my face. Labs are a bit rough.

That's what I've always felt about them, they never seem to be overly sharp but they're ultra smooth and for whatever reason leave me with a closer/better shave than most blades. I actually haven't used one in months, I think I'll pull them out of the cupboard and use a few up.
