I've recently got into De shaving. Just did my 4th shave. Went very well compared my last 3...I started my first 3 shaves with a Merkur 38c. It was alright. Skinned me up a bit because of all the passes. I bought a slant 39c and used it for my 4th shave. It was amazing. I was using MWF. I focused on technique and zero pressure. Didn't have to do as many passes and irritation was minimal.

Mark, welcome to The Shave Nook. Technique and no pressure will get you there and the MWF is one of the best you can use. If you need any help just find the right section and jump in. That's why we all are here.

One thing I'm still trying to learn is getting a better lather with the fat. It's getting better but I just can't get that creamy lather I'm looking for. It always ends up a little bubbly

Thanks for the warm welcome all! I can't believe I went from hating shaving to spending money on great equipment and can't wait for my whiskers to grow!

Welcome to The Shave Nook, Mark, and enjoy your stay. Smile

You should be able to get some tips on the MWF lather. Quite a few initially have trouble getting the right consistency.
