... a 1940's Gillette #25 set ...

It has the UK "flat base plate", which is the Tech head that better suits me and I believe it to be identical to the Gillette New head but in closed comb configuration, and a late New handle.

Thanks Jerry, it is already seating in the nook waiting to be taken for a spin ! The handle, although hollow seems just the same weight as the Fat Handle Tech.

Don't know. I will use some this weekend. I did rub a little on my forearm this morning just to see what it smelled like. Can't quite pinpoint it, but it has a little different smell than the old formula. One thing I can say about, the small amount I put on my forearm this morning, I can still smell it. The old formula scent would have been gone a long time ago.

Tony, that's a nice set. I've always loved the British sets in various bakelite(ish) cases. Well done.

Wow, that's a beautiful brush. If it works half as good as it looks......you'll be a lucky man. Use it in good health.
Best Regards,

Hi all, just received a Damascus Blade one piece Straight Razor from "Buckingham & Sons". It looks pretty good for an inexpensive razor. I'm planning to give it a good stropping, check the sharpness by shaving with it, and then put it into my rotation. I'll keep you posted on The Straight Razor Forum.
Best regards!
