Final product has come off the line and I've got a few in hand. So, I took some photos:

Here's what the head looks like:

Wonderful EJ head clone at half the price. Probably a better handle than on EJ (hollow, light and not very grippy). Is this an exact EJ replica in terms of shaving qualities? I am asking because EJ is too mild for me. I am also pretty much in an OC camp right now and only have one razor I use. I put it together from three different razors (it's a basic 3 piece) and then modified the top plate slightly (to make more aggressive) and it's pretty much a perfect razor for me at this point, but I would love to try another OC if I could. I already have a RazoRock/Cadet OC and that is my backup for the Frankenrazor I put together. So something on the level of aggressiveness of that would be just about perfect for me. Any plans?

Also, you say the razor is made of triple plated brass. Do you mean to say that the head is brass as well as the handle? I have not seen a modern day brass head yet, so if this is the case with your offering, it sure is a special razor.

Wow...this is going to be a good one! Always loved the 89 head, and coupled with that gorgeous handle...And for <$30! Oh yes! Biggrin

Looks like an excellent razor for an even better price. Nice job Lee.

Head?

The head is a zinc alloy. The handle is triple plated brass. Sorry for the confusion.

Let's just say that AFAIK, there's no discernable difference between the heads. Wink

Yes, but I need to get the specs down and a mold made. Tried to make an R41 head less aggressive by filing the middle part down, did not work apparently (an interesting experiment). I'll be looking at the Gillette heads next.

It's made of the same alloy as EJ89/Muhle head.

Lee, have a look here. Looks like an EJ/Muhle clone with an open comb accessory base plate. Interesting, no?

Edit: Man, that link does not always work. try clicking on it second time if it takes you to their home page instead of product page. Also, here is the actual link in text form:
