I like Elite a lot. I've used both the Elite soap and the No. 89 soap, and I think the Elite has a somewhat stronger scent, although not overpowering, much like the Penhaligon's soaps. I still have an active Elite puck and shaving cream, as well as two bottles of the aftershave, which is a favorite. According to Floris: Elite is a contemplative concoction of grapefruit and Bergamot leaf which sits with the beautifully woody base of this mature and mellow melange. Patchouli, Lavender, and Cedarwood meld subtly with Sandalwood, Oakmoss, Vetiver, and Tuberose for a richly inviting fragrance exuding the confidence of its wearer. To me it smells warm and rich but subtle, a little formal, without any sharpness or tang or any significant floral notes.
