I can't figure out why this product doesn't get more buzz on the forums. This Canacian-made cream is thick and creamy, provides good cushion and glide, and is inexpensive to boot. I have had particularly fine results with a Merkur Slant and Gillette Silver Blue blade, although that's just me. What say the members?

It's a good value but the lemon scent is very snythetic. Reminds me of lemon cleaner. I don't mind it but it could be the reason it's not more popular.

It really is an exceptionally good product , perhaps it is its barber shop lineage that affects its popularity. Forum shavers seem to prize exotic , high end or hard to come by products.

Too, a batch from last year was defective product and would not win a new user over as a fan. I had a tub of this and it simply would not lather well, the manufacturer admitted error.

I tried it once about 2 years ago. I ordered a few items from a vendor and they included a sample of Fraser's with my order.
I was not impressed, it would not lather at all, even after using the entire sample the consistency was like a runny lotion and barely enough for 1 pass. I suppose I got some from the bad batches.

Another issue is that the ink always runs on their labels. Not a huge deal I supose but annoying none the less.

I just received one of the new, good batch jars from Joe at ItalianBarber.com and let me just say that this stuff is rich, thick and very protective and I honestly felt like it reminded me of Pens BB shaving cream as a used it when it came down to slickness, skin feel after the shave and overall luxury of the lather and shave --- not sure what happened in the past, but this stuff will stay in my Den moving forward. Great cream at a great price.

Got some a couple of weeks ago and can't find anything much wrong with it that would stop you from getting a close comfortable shave. Lathers just fine. A non pretentious shave soap that just does the job if that is the main requirement you have for a shave soap.

If your around awhile you will notice what is Boohooed today is praised to the highest glory tomorrow. So use what you like cuz we all get this frantic need to improve what we use when what works is right in front of our eyes.

Yea...it reminds me of a janitor's closet. I could never understand the praise for this cream. YMMV but I thought it was nothing special.

I've always liked JM Fraser's SC. It isn't the best shaving cream I've tried, but it is pretty good.

I still have an almost-full tub of the Mosswood scent, which is discontinued, I believe.

The scents are 'industrial' - in that they're not particularly complex or interesting. I don't mind that, but they're not something that people will go out of their way to get.

I remember years ago Yohann turning me on to Fraser's. I was the midst of some serious SCAD so I couldn't give it the attention it deserves. The scent is ok (although I like it) but the value is great.

I like it, but there are equally efficacious and reasonably priced creams on the market which are more readily available, e.g. The Real Shaving Co., Kiss My Face and Nivea to name a few.
