I really wish more vendors would offer their soaps in Wooden bowls. I know I can buy no name wooden bowls from places like WCS, but if I could get something nice with their name on it (Like DR Harris does) I'd gladly pay extra for it.

I do greatly appreciate the wide tins (like Mike's Natural Soap uses), but man oh man nothing feels as good as a nice piece of wood. I'd suffer thru the smaller diameter if it meant it was wooden.

I like the idea of a wooden bowl with a vendor name on it. I would buy a Bullgoose wooden bowl I know that.

Some wooden bowls are really beautiful, and I do purchase those when available. There are also other bowls that are fun to have, such as the metal bowl for Cade, and the hand made ceramic bowl for Boellis Panama 1924. The problem is that they are hard to stack, which is difficult is one has many soaps and is limited on space (my wife limits me to my side of the bathroom tabletop). I do love the large tins, including Mike's, Synergy, and PPF, and they not only stack well but make it easier to lather.

Ooooooh. I didn't even think of something like that. I'd scoop that up in a heartbeat.

I'm sorry I thought that's what you meant in original post. Regardless, I really like the idea.

I was referring to a soap mfgr labeled bowl, like DR Harris does. But I like your idea too Smile

i never had a liking for branded products and can't peel off logos fast enough. i like items that speak for themselves - preferably silently - or best: not at all. anonymous/functional/high quality.

void of fancy

there you have it.

I love wooden bowls, also, and would purchase one with the soap-makers name on it, to keep track of the soap inside, of course! Biggrin
You could get a custom one done for your soaps, if you really wanted to. There are some very talented artisans, around.

* Marius, you may want to contact the gentleman who made my Snakewood brush handle, ZenShave. He is a member here who is talented enough to do what you want, I believe! Smile
