Interesting about G-d bless you. Now for the word Bloody At the time Henry VIII broke with Rome and established The Church of England. People would swear an oath using the words "By our Lady". Old King Henry outlawed this practice under the threat of death. Shortly the oath became shortened to the word bloody and was used in it's present form.
