If I were young, I would score . . .

A handsome Puma 6/8 round point
A Kanayama 70000 strop
A practical honing set up
A Joris gold DE with the Tuja Wood handle
A ton of Super Iridium blades
A 22 mm. Thater silver tip with contoured handle
A wooden bowl of Martin de Candre shave soap
A closet full of Trumper's Coral Skin Food
And of Trufitt & Hill's Spanish Leather aftershave

I'm not young. Well, at least not in tread wear. . .
But I would still go for the same score . . .

How about you, gentlemen?

Stay well,
Obie

Never to young to score a nice straight.

I think the only thing I'd look forward to in the future would be a 7 day straight razor set. The ones at TI look awesome, though vintage would be very nice.

If I were youg .... no if's to it, I'm getting old. So I now take my retirement monies to help score more Semogue brushes, MWF, TABAC products, small collection of Schick Injectors, and all the Floid Blue that I can afford.

Well, yes, I'd absolutely need more blades.

As far as shaving goes, I wouldn't do anything differently. Absolutely no regrets with what I've done and am doing. You don't get to have some wear and not learn to just not care, and to do what you want the way you want to do it. What I'm saying is that I'm doing it right now, young or not.

Yup, definitely more blades. Assuming I was unmarried and young, I'd make it a goal to meet Jessica Biel and be the father of her children.

I always wanted one of them. I rode a 3Rensho and then a Marinoni track bike until I broke my elbow during a wreck...

It's all about perspective. There is a guy on another forum (and perhaps a member here too) whose screen name is Harper, and at age 82 he has a very young attitude. Of course, I know 30-year-old curmudgeons, too.

I didn't want to be greedy and I'm certainly monogamous, Jessica Biel would be more than enough woman for me to practice making children with and successfully making them. Lots of beautiful women on the planet, but to my eyes JB is possibly the most beautiful. I've thought that for many years. If she was otherwise occupied I'd try to meet Bridget Regan for the same future.

i completely understand, my friend. One woman is more than enough for a gentleman and Jessica Biel is an extremely beautiful young lady.
Well, enjoy your day!

I looked at several 3Rensho frames, with an intention of buying one, but decided against it - mostly because of a lack of funds. They were nice, though some of the used kierin ones were in poor shape.

Nicest track frame I rode was a Raleigh Pro Track bike a buddy of mine had. In my size too. Sweet ride, though most of my pleasure came from the legendary status of the frame.

My IRO works fine for me. RIght price too.

I consider myself fairly young (although I feel less young at an alarmingly fast rate) and I have taken a lot of this advice, except for the straight equipment. It helps me sleep at night knowing I have a nice supply of great products that should last me well into old age.

I began purchasing wet-shaving stuff in my 20s and now that I head into the second half of my 30s I have stuff that, in theory, will last until my last day on Earth.

I say in theory because, unlike my straight razors that last centuries, my soaps and creams might not last long, I don't know...

But this is a hypothetical situation that I stopped completely from purchasing more stuff forever and we all know this is not going to happen. Biggrin

If I were young, I would start wet shaving sooner instead of subjectig my face to years of torture and discomfort.

If I were young I would never have picked-up an electric or multi-blade cartridge razor.

If I were young I wouldn't have to look in the mirror each day and say to myself "You're young! You're young! You'll get used to that face!" Dodgy
