Hi Guys, up until today I had been using the Green Gillette blades in a few different Razors most of all in a Merkur Slant. I found these blades to be a good consistent performer and got three good shaves out of each blade.

Today I used a SB in a 50s British SS and loved it, nice and sharp and very smooth. I could really 'feel' the blade working I ended up with a very nice shave and look forward to seeing how they do over an extended period.

Cheers.

I opened a box of SBs last week. I really like them. My Merkur 34HD really seems to like them. I've done 2 face shaves and 1 full head shave with one and it doesn't seem to be slowing down at all. I'm glad I like them as Silver Blues were my first 100 blade purchase.

I just acquired 25 of the Polsilvers, these were next on my list. Hopefully a good comparison.

I bought 100 of them when I first started wetshaving and put them away thinking I didn't like them. Well, I pulled them out again last week and I've used them in my Weber PH every day since and absolutely love them. The iridium supers (not polsilver si) and GSB's seem very very similar in feel, sharpness and closeness of shave for me.

That's funny, I think the Iridium Supers and PSIs are exactly the same blade. They have the exact same wording and markings on the blade...but I've yet to try the Iridium Supers.

The Silver Blues are excellent blades for me. I've really taken a liking to the Gillette Platinums that come in a very similar looking box as well.

I have recently fallen in love with this blade as well. An excellent smooth blade. I just got a box of polsilvers so that's next up!

I like the SB's very much but every time I had the page up to buy them I hesitated. As much as I (and all my razors) like Personna Med Preps and Labs, both of which I have substantial quantities of, I just cant get myself to press order on the SB's. I still have 7 SB blades left I think. Maybe when I run out completely it will be easier to justify! lol

You think they're the same without trying them both? After doing some poking around google I found lots of people that thought they were the same but there is a handful of people on this board who would say just the opposite. I've used them back to back and without a doubt, they are a different blade. I actually found the iridium super closer to the gillette silver blue than the polsilver si.

What's the odds that two different blades would say the exact same thing on them and have the exact same markings? That's all I'm saying.

I find these blades are very smooth in my fatboy but there does seem to be some issues with consistency (i.e. quality control).

Favorite blades for me. I've just used 12 in a row which is the first blade I've done that with. Slightly smoother and sharper than Polsilver in my opinion, which is the other blade currently in my semi-rotation.
