Shaved with the woody lavender yesterday and I was very impressed! Smelled almost identical to MdC and has me considering parting with my backup jar of MdC...

Just an incredibly smooth and slick lather...

Congratulations, David! I have never tried the soap, but if it is that good, then you should stock up! Biggrin

LASS and Al's are two bits of software I keep meaning to try, so thanks for the reminder and mini-review. Hope the LASS keeps working for you.

Just shaved with the Santa Monica Bay Rum and a Muhle DE. John makes a high quality soap with excellent slickness, will test cushion with the Cobra tomorrow. In terms of the fragrance, I'm getting the rum with a strong avocado note. Nice stuff.

I've now sampled the fougere and woody lavender. Both are amazing performers and at the moment I prefer the scent of woody lavender.

I traded the woody lavender (only because I have enough lavender scents now), but got some fougere and it smells great. The performance is really strong too. Lately, all the small shops making vegan products have been coming on strong.

Their soaps are very easy to lather and provide great protection, interesting scents too.

I tried the Woody Lavender with the Simpson M7 in Manchurian. It usually takes a while for the Manchurian hair to create a lather, however this morning it was a lather explosion. I blame in on the LASS Biggrin The Woody Lavender is a very natural and well blended fragrance from the essential oils, and I prefer it over the Santa Monica Bay Rum. Post skin care is very good, face feels soft and well hydrated.
