You get that old, used razor you bought online...open the package and tear it out of there...just to realize..wait..what...?

...there's a razor blade still in the razor....

Very much an accident waiting to happen and I don't know if this is because of laziness of the seller or just not knowing anything about what they are selling.

I have also encountered that on two separate occasions, unfortunately!

I haven't experienced it personally, but I have seen blades left in razors photographed and listed on ebay. Often, the razors haven't even been cleaned up, and from the wording of the description, are listed by someone who knows nothing about razors.

If I had a dollar for every time that happened, well I would be able to buy a very nice razor. One out of every two I receive have this issue. Always assume that there is a sharp in the razor.

I've bought a lot of razors, literally "lots" of up to a dozen razors at once and I can't remember ever having a blade in place. But it's no windfall, it's just something for the used blade can. Then move on. Try not to get cut even though the nasties can't live for more than a few hours outside the body, so days would be beyond that; still... try not to get cut for peace of mind.

When I've gone mantiquing, I've run into many blades in the razor. Make sure your tetanus is up to date just in case!

Yep. Very lucky that I've never cut myself on one of these old nasty blades.

It's really not a danger if you expect any used razor to be loaded with a blade, as you should.

It's fairly common for Schick Injectors to be sold with a blade in them which is a plus; It's difficult to load a new blade in an empty one. If it's a Hydro-Magic, I open the lever and barely put a spent blade end into the left side. Then close the lever and loading a new blade is easy.
