used the beauty on the right, but the shave was very tuggy. It was only my second shave with it so I'll attribute my rough shave To lack of proper technique, but I'm also hoping that a different blade will give me a better experience. I used the blades from CVS.

most likely a combo of both blade and technique. Keep at it! Beautiful specimens.

Remember to keep the top flat to the skin when shaving to reduce tugging.

Roger that fellas. I shave a third time, and it went much better, but I did have less beard growth. I really want to have it work out because the razors, well, they're just too cool!

You'll do fine.

Those CVS blades are carbon steel and will rust. I'm not saying they're bad, it's just something to know to pay special attention to the blade after the shave.

Walgreens has the GEM SS blades.

The first CVS blade rusted overnight on me. The 4th shave was much superior to the first three, so I think I will be alright. I have some SS blades coming in from connaught that should be in within the week.

I just used my damaskene this morning for the first time and loved it. Epic shave! Used a coated gem blade and made a point to keep the cap flat against my face with just a little angle.

You are both doing a great job. GEMs are well worth adjusting a bit to. Keep up the great shaves!
