The Major is a brush that I've always admired, but until now I haven't been able to find a nice vintage example. I almost passed on this brush due to the crack, but the Truefitt & Hill branding pushed me over the edge. The hair is firm with soft tips and made an excellent lather this morning. It won't get used often, but will be a joy when it does.

The #135 I can date to 1930. It was one of the VP series, but I don’t know what VP means. See my thread on the Barrel Kent andyou will see a picture of a VP134 from the Kent 1930 catalogue. There, you will also see a range of other early Kents from that yesr including an early version of the Barrel style.

Wow. Some really nice collections being displayed. I'm really enjoying seeing all the vintage butterscotch. Something I don't have in my own collection. I'm keeping an eye out for a vintage butterscotch at my local vintage artifacts dealer. It would be nice to find one in the wild. I'm trying to be patient.
