I know nothing at all about these brushes, but I thought someone might be interested in a vintage Penhaligon's brush listed with a BIN price of $55.45 shipped on eBay:

They still have a website, listing just one nickel handled brush made with "ethically collected" as they put it "badger" hair. Interesting... Perhaps they can be contacted and asked about the brush listed?
From Wiki:
"Penhaligon's is an English perfume house. It was founded in the late 1860s by William Henry Penhaligon, a Cornish barber who moved to London and who became Court Barber and Perfumer to Queen Victoria."...

I've never seen a Penhaligon brush before now, wasn't aware of even the company, I wouldn't have a clue how 'rare' nor what level of quality, age, ect. Always interesting to learn something new, the main reason I keep coming back here.
@OP; thanks for the post, even though I'm on sabbatical and have everything I need, wants and interests aside, I still enjoy seeing things I've not seen before!
