Razor: Merkur Futur
Blade: Polsilver
Brush: Semogue LE Bristle 2
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: MWF
A/S: La Toja Classic Splash

The Semogue LE makes short work of the Mitchell's Wool Fat ginning up loads of rich and creamy lather. I enjoyed an excellent irritation free shave followed by a splash of La Toja Classic, a new favorite.

Prep: Hot shower; Yardley bath bar
Lather: Old Spice (Thanks Andy!) - face lather
Brush: Simpson's Commodore X2
Razor: Schick E2
Blade: Ted Pella (1); 3 passes
Post: Cold water rinse; Krampert's Finest Bay Rum

The Old Spice soap from MrGuy's vintage soap PIF is simply sublime. I can't believe it works this well & still has some scent to it. It was very easy to lather though next time I'll try to get some more water into it. Not as slick as I think it can be, but what a wonderful creamy lather.

Frank Shaving Finest badger brush
1957 Gillette Red Tip Superspeed razor
Gillette 365 blade (2nd use)
Prairie Creations pre-shave oil
Prairie Creations Rose emu & tamanu shaving cream
Homemade Rose witch hazel
Prairie Creations original Unscented Aftershave Balm
Taylor of London Rose talc
Crabtree & Evelyn Nantucket Briar EdT

After not shaving yesterday because of illness, today's shave felt doubly good. I decided on an all Prairie Creations shave with rose as the scent and was glad I did because it just made me feel good. What comfort food is to the stomach, this shave is to my face. Smile

Thanks to all of you for your kind words. The food poisoning bout is just about done and, believe me, I am glad to be seeing it in my rear view mirror.

Sunday: An "Inspiration Shave"!

Omega Wooden Handle
Dovo Bismarck 5/8
Karo Fresh SC
Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
Brut AS
Brut Cologne

Thanks to my dear friend Dmitry who inspired me so much, I was able to gather up the courage to use my Dovo Bismarck after not using it for more than a year, and I managed to get a very, very nice and enjoyable almost BBS shave with it. I did 2 WTG passes on both cheeks and a very light ATG pass along my neck. I guess I haven't lost my touch after all! I wish I had used a better cream, because although the Karo Fresh stuff lathers very well and richly, it really is junk. It has a soapy, but cheap scent to it, and although menthol is listed as an ingredient, you cannot really feel any. To be honest, I grabbed the first tube in front of me, so it happened to be this one. I'm still so happy that I was able to enjoy a nice, relaxing Sunday shave![attachment=1]

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: iKon OSS
Blade: Super Iridium
Brush: Vie-Long Gonzalo (04102) Boar/Horse
Soap or Cream: Mitchell's Wool Fat
A/S: Thayer's Lemon Witch Hazel, Meehan Bay Rhum

Ahhh...a great shave this morning! I hadn't shaved with an Iridium for many moons, so decided to pull one out from my stash to try in my iKon. As expected, it did a fine job of mowing the stubble, and the shave was silky smooth and comfortable. The MWF is always a joy to use and the Meehan Bay Rhum provided a very fragrant and stimulating finish.
