I was able to pick up two tubs of this great soap. What is going on with Strop Shoppe inventory? They use to have a lot of great soaps to choose from. Still a great company with a great product.

I think I read that they were going to stop producing the slow selling scents and focus on making the more popular ones more often.

Does that mean that they consider Black Tie a less popular scent?

Not sure what you mean. They just released a batch yesterday... which is what prompted creating this thread.

I wasn't sure if you were just offering that as general information, or if you meant that was why they were low on Black Tie again. IE, they'd be phasing it out.

Oh ok. It seems they are putting out batches of their more popular scents every week or so and they sell out very quickly.

The issue with Strop Shoppe was that they listed all of their available scents even if they didn't actually have that scent in stock. So basically most of their soaps were made to order which meant that you had to wait for a long time before the soaps would even ship. The lack of communication didn't help as well.

Now they're posting up only the soaps they actually have in stock and I guess they sell out rather quickly.

Their Special Edition soaps are listed as being 6oz on their site and they're labeled as 4oz on the containers they ship them in.

Any thoughts on this one?

I believe my tub (which I got a while ago) is 8oz. Just to throw more confusion on the fire.

I ordered some travel tins (3 oz) back in Sept and got one 3oz and one 6oz.

I just used London Morning today, great stuff. For those of you who have the little samples; how do you use them? I smeared some on my face and it gave me a good 2 pass lather but was completely dead by the third pass.

Easily one of my favourite soaps. Great scent and lather. In fact, I don't think I've encountered a scent quite like it.

Just ordered the Baker St special edition found it in stock at last.

I'm hoping it has a distinctive scent. The only one stands out for me up to now is the London Morning.
I've been comparing the scents of the Alpine Frost, 1887, and Russian Tea special editions. All have a very faint scent and all so similar I can hardly tell the difference Huh. I haven't shaved with the last three yet.
Anyone else find the same ?
