Hi guys, recently found myself intrigued by some of Razors here, and the opportunity came up to acquire one I look forward to giving it a whirl. It only came with one blade so I've got a bit of research to do on that.

Cheers.

Very nice, Boaz! Appears you have a Bakelite-cased Ever-Ready 1912 with paperwork. A fantastic SE, and the scrolled handle is beautiful as well as functional (heft and grip).

I recommend you pick up some GEM PTFE-coated blades from Connaught. It's the best price around the world, that we know of here.

^ This.

Enjoy it and please keep us updated on how it goes. Short strokes with the head almost flat against your face. Adjust the angle until she sings to you. Then enjoy the ride.

That almost looks like a PTFE blade. That's what mine look like at least. The 1912 is in my top 3 of all time favorite razors!

I read somewhere that the english razors are of a better quality than the us made ones. Congrats!
